A very special Spring giveaway! (MyWeddingFavors.com)

Remember my post about being featured as a Bride on the Brink a few days ago?  You can check out the interview I did with MyWeddingFavors.com here.

These little beauties are from Samplehouse.com and are 1/2 pint size.  They measure  3" x 2.25" x 2.5" and can be used for wedding or Valentine's Day related needs (favor boxes, candy bar containers, bridal shower favors, etc).

100 Followers - And a giveaway!

It's official...I've been watching that little image on the right side of my blog wondering if I'd reach 100 followers.  Well, on Friday evening it happened:

So of course, with a special landmark like this should come a giveaway of some sort, right?  I am excited to say that I have been contacted by a company to host a giveaway on March 1st.  I am in the process of finalizing the details so stay tuned next month for that one.  But for now, I'd love to give something away to a fellow blogger as a thank you for all of your support and wonderful feedback, comments and overall encouragement.

Problem is, I'm not sure what to give away!  I actually have two things leftover from the wedding (that hasn't even happened yet) that I am not going to be able to use.  I was thinking of selling them originally but figured maybe I'd just give one of them away instead.  So how about some feedback?

If you would be interested in one of the two following items, let me know.  By Wednesday morning I will announce which item I have decided to give away and will have a contest started that will end Friday evening with a winner announced on Saturday. 

Item # 1:  100 Red Chinese Take out Boxes

These are half pint size and measure 3" x 2 1/4" x 2 1/2"  I originally purchased them as favor boxes for the wedding but the red didn't match the deeper shade of cranberry that is my wedding colors.  So now I'm left with these brand new beauties.  You could use them to hold mini cupcakes as a favor at a bridal shower, birthday party or wedding.  Or for candy bar containers.  We decorated ours with colored ribbon and favor tags/stickers.  Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, they'd make a great way to package gifts for friends, a classroom, church group, etc.

Item # 2:  Flower Girl or Junior Bridesmaid Dress

                    

You may remember that I didn't feel like this dress matched the style of my wedding after we received it.  It was originally purchased for my 6 year old cousin shown above and can be worn shorter or longer depending on the height of the girl.  The turquoise sash is detachable and so it can be coordinated with any color.  You can even add some embellishments (rhinestones, brooches, flowers, etc) if you are crafty enough.  It is a size 8 and cost $85 at a bridal salon...brand new, never altered...could be an amazing prize and dress for the right bride/person.

So majority will win.  Whichever item gets the most feedback as being desired will be the one I'll giveaway.

Exciting news!

I won my very first giveaway on a blog! Woo-hoo! So excited, Carolina Bride just informed me that I won her poster giveaway...so now I have to go through all my fun e-pics and select the image I want to use for the 16x20 poster! Man I love the blogosphere! And Carolina obviously :)


Also, I found out that our invitation sample is in the mail and on it's way to me for final proofing! We finalized the revisions and selected the final photos and as soon as I get it in my pretty little hands I'll snap some shots to post of the real live invite!

What a glorious weekend this has been...I got to hang out with my future parents-in-law this weekend as they were down in So Cal from Redding visiting Mr Fix It and his brother's family. It's been so great to catch up with them and share a mini-pre-Christmas dinner :)

My FFF's

If you hadn't noticed, off to the side of my blog I have my FFF's (Fun Follower Friends). 

Well, today, Megan over at Bee Only blog became my 50th follower!  Yea!  I started this blog barely a month ago and now have 50 'friends' that I love to visit their blogs and share ideas with and support from.  I have already had some issues come from my blogging experience though... :(

A Cupcake Wedding just posted about her Flower Girl's attire and I fell in love with the dress she picked out.  It is so cute and even comes in a baby blue that *might* match my other BM dress.  The problem?  I already bought my FG dress!  But I don't like it at all...and so now, thanks to Cupcake, I may just have to put that one up for sale on ebay and purchase the new one from http://www.girlsdressline.com/flower-girl-dresses/yoro-chiffon-dress-cc611.html

What to do, what to do?  Anyway, just wanted to say a quick thanks to you 50 wonderful ladies who have decided to follow along on the path to my big day...and peek into the insanity that is my thought process and life.  :)

Now I am thinking that since I see all these wonderful giveaways I might have to join the fun and offer my own.  I am thinking that I will go for something good to giveaway once we hit the 100 follower mark - so stay stuned!  :)

A Mysterious Giveaway!

So while browsing through the blogs I follow tonight I stumbled across Ashley over at Ramirez Family blog.  I am super excited to have found her and be a new follower.  And since she recently crossed the 100 follower mark, she decided to do a giveaway.  But the coolest part about it is that she is surprising the winner with exactly what it is she is giving away.  So definitely check her out here and see what all the buzz is about.

She is now at 115 followers.  I can't even imagine having that many followers - how exciting!  But then again, if you would have told me three weeks ago when I started this blog that I would already have 47 followers, I would have laughed at you!  :)

One other side note, thanks to Ashley's inspiration, I will be starting a new themed weekday post titled Thankful Thursdays...what a wonderful idea!
