So, when they were calling the single girls (which was me at that time) onto the floor, this song began to play:
Lonely People (by Jars of Clay)
Again, I tell you that you have to understand my sister's silly sense of humor. I particularly like the 2nd verse that specifically says "This is for all the single people, thinking that life has left them dry."
I figured I'd throw in another fun one for you as a double shot on this fine Monday...so for her cake cutting...though not quite as silly, she used this song (start at about 1:00 where the chorus begins):
Lips Like Sugar (Echo and the Bunnymen)
Get it? Lips, sugar, kisses - cake...cutting the cake, kissing after? Too cute.
So, got any great ideas for your own tosses at the reception or your cake cutting? I still have no idea for my own so I would love to hear other's ideas!

Hmmm, we are not doing the bouquet or garter toss, but we are cutting cake. I haven't decided on a song yet, but will probably leave most of the music decisions to the fiance, as he is the music snob amongst the two of us. By the way, thank you for my blog award! I will post about it later today :)
I plan to just do a bouquet toss, not garter :) But I am planning to use the song "Going to the chapel" by the Dixie Cups for the bouquet toss :)
I didn't even think I needed a song for the cutting of the cake - just thought there would be background music. Really - I need *another* song. Ahhhhhhhhhh
The lonely people song is pretty funny for a bouquet toss. I haven't even thought that far. Not sure if there will be one yet. Any music at the wedding I haven't thought of at all =(
we did not have a bouquet or garter toss, but for our cake cutting we had gwen stefani's "sweet escape" :)
Eh, I don't think brides need to be all that original unless all of our friends are going to a lot of weddings at once. ;) That said, the ONLY reason I won't use the Beyonce song for the bouquet toss (if we do it) is because both my step-sister AND my mom used it! Haven't figured out what I'd use yet, though..
